Past studies from our dedicated and experienced staff have included acne, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Medications and all exams are free; and in addition, most studies reimburse participants for time and travel.  All research programs have been approved by institutional review boards, maintain patient confidentiality and follow safety guidelines. Dermatology Physicians of CT in Shelton is conducting a research study of an investigational medication for people with psoriasis.

Qualifications Include:

  • Adults
  • Must currently have psoriasis with red, thicker patches that may have silvery scales and often itch
  • Must have psoriasis on your body, arms or legs

Qualified participants will receive study-related care and investigational medication at no cost. You will receive compensation for time. Health insurance is not needed.

Do You Have Atopic Dermatitis? (Eczema)

NOTE: You must have a clinical diagnosis of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (also known as atopic eczema) for at least one year.

You may be eligible to participate if:

  • You are a male or female 18-70 years of age.
  • You are able to meet all eligibility criteria.
  • You are able to comply with all study visits.

The Pfizer New Haven Clinical Research Unit is conducting a study of an investigational drug being tested for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (also known as eczema). This is a double blind, placebo controlled (inactive substance) study.

The study will be conduced at the Pfizer New Haven Clinical Research Unit (NHCRU) where study visits will take place. You will receive a total of 4 doses of study drug or placebo.

This study involves:

  • You will receive a single IV dose of study drug or placebo on up to 4 separate study days. These doses will be separated by 4 weeks.
  • You will be in the study for about 49 weeks
  • You will have the option to stay in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) overnight before each scheduled dosing
