Nira Silverman, MD

Dr. Silverman had been in private practice in Ansonia until she joined Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut in 2015. Board certified in dermatology, Dr. Silverman treats a wide range of skin conditions in adults, adolescents and children.

Dr. Silverman completed her college education at Barnard college at Columbia University. Following college, Dr. Silverman attended New York University Medical School to pursue her medical degree as well as to pursue her research interests. Subsequently, Dr. Silverman completed her internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She returned to New York University to complete her dermatology residency as well as a dermatopathology fellowship. Dr. Silverman decided to enter private practice rather than pursue research and has cared for patients with great enthusiasm and dedication ever since.

Dr. Silverman is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Yale University, and an attending at Griffin Hospital

When not in the office caring for patients, Dr. Silverman is busy with her family and friends. She loves to swim, usually with no sunscreen, but always indoors, of course.
