What is the Fraxel Dual?

Cosmetic and Laser Dermatology Treatment CT

Feeling the winter doldrums? It’s a great time of year to consider rejuvenating your skin 💜 This laser is used to improve widespread sun spots, brown spots, fine lines, texture, and acne and surgical scars. While most choose this laser to treat the face, Fraxel can be used anywhere on the body. And as the name suggests, it affects a fraction of the total surface of the treated skin with one treatment which allows for relatively quick healing times.

This procedure is done in the office. After a topical anesthetic is applied, the laser treatment on average takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes. A cold air blows on the area being treated to minimize discomfort. Most patients feel a warm, prickly sensation. Following treatment, a cool compress is applied to all areas treated. For 1-3 hours Immediately following the procedure, the affected skin may feel like a bad sunburn. After that you may experience redness and swelling for 2-3 days. Typically, the treated areas are completely healed after 1 week.
