Suzana Kalanica, APRN, DNP
Suzana Kalanica is a board certified nurse practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed in the state of Connecticut. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Naugatuck Valley Community College and her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University. In 2021, she graduated from Quinnipiac State University with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Her doctoral thesis focused on implementing individualized education, treatment strategies cohesively among healthcare providers and their patients with Atopic Dermatitis, while decreasing disease burden to the healthcare system.
Prior to her career in dermatology, Suzana has worked in many departments as a registered nurse covering several specialties from general to critical medicine and everything in between! Her passion for making a difference was rooted early in her career and lead to further pursue her passion in skin health and wellbeing.
Her dermatologic interests include, but not limited to, skin cancer detection screening, inflammatory skin disorders, pediatric and adolescent dermatology. With extensive clinical experience she is well versed in providing exceptional care while meeting patients’ goals and needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
