What To Look For In Sunscreen
Now that the temperatures are getting warmer and the days are longer, we have to remember to wear our sunscreen when enjoying time outside. There are 3 important things to look for when choosing your sunscreen!
1. Broad Spectrum – this means that it protects your skin from ultraviolet A (UVA) rays and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays, both of which can cause cancer.
2. SPF 30 or Higher – this is how well a sunscreen protects you from sunburn.
3. Water Resistant – for up to 40 or 80 minutes. Sunscreens are not waterproof or sweat proof and need to be reapplied every two hours or after swimming or sweating.
