HEATHER HAMILTON, MD
Dr. Hamilton is a fellowship-trained, board certified dermatologist who is passionate about caring for all aspects of her patients’ skin. In addition to medical and surgical dermatology where she cares for a full range of dermatologic conditions in adults and children, Dr. Hamilton’s clinical interests include cosmetic procedures including injectable soft tissue fillers (i.e. Voluma, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Belotero), neuromodulators (i.e. Botox), and laser treatments for broken blood vessels, sun spots, scars and wrinkles.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree at Duke University and her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Hamilton completed a medical internship at Baylor College of Medicine and her Dermatology residency at University of Kansas, where she served as Chief Resident. Subsequently, Dr. Hamilton completed a prestigious Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Boston with clinical faculty from the Harvard and Yale Departments of Dermatology.
An author of multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Hamilton has presented at several professional meetings and has participated in multiple research trials for innovative laser/energy devices and to further our understanding and management of skin cancer. Dr. Hamilton is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Hamilton can be found spending time with her husband and two young sons. Together, they enjoy running around at the playground and having picnics in the park (while wearing sunscreen, of course).
